Biography.

Dr Vishnu Renjith is a Lecturer and Programme Director at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), where he provides academic leadership for postgraduate nursing programmes and supervises postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral research. He also holds international academic appointments as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University, UK, and Adjunct Faculty at Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. In addition, he serves as an Editor for PLOS ONE and BMC Nursing and is a Fellow of Cochrane Ireland, with a strong focus on evidence synthesis methodology.

Dr Renjith completed his undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral education in Nursing at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. Following his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate and served as the National Coordinator of the ICMR Indian Stroke Clinical Trial Network. He has been an investigator on multiple funded research projects, published over 80 peer-reviewed scholarly manuscripts, and delivered more than 100 invited presentations at national and international conferences.

His contributions to research, education, and academic leadership have been recognised through several awards and honours, Best Clinical Expertise award (2010), Dr TMA Pai Doctoral Fellowship (2013), the Sigma Theta Tau Research Award (2015), the RCSI Student Partnership Champion Award (2023, 2024), the MIND Ireland ICON Award (2025), and the Boston Congress of Public Health Award (2025). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health (UK) and a Fellow of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at RCSI. He is a recipient of the Erasmus Teaching Fellowship by the European Union (2026). He has also been recognised among Stanford University's top 2% most-cited researchers globally and has contributed to nationally funded research initiatives in healthcare. He reviews for leading journals including the Journal of Advanced Nursing, Journal of Nursing Scholarship, BMC Public Health, and Journal of Neuroscience Nursing.

Dr Renjith's research interests include qualitative and mixed methods research, evidence synthesis, clinical trials, implementation science, and nursing leadership. An award-winning educator and editor, he is deeply committed to advancing global nursing scholarship through teaching, mentorship, and methodological expertise.
