Dr Vishnu Renjith is a lecturer and program director at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). In his current role, he leads postgraduate programs in Advanced Leadership at RCSI. He is a researcher at the Skin Wound and Trauma (SWaT) Research Centre and supervises postgraduate, doctorate and post-doctoral students.
He also holds an honorary Senior Lecturer position at the School of Medicine at the University of Cardiff. He is an adjunct faculty member at the Manipal College of Nursing, India. Furthermore, Dr. Renjith is an Academic Editor for the journal PLOS ONE and an editorial board member of BMC Nursing.
Dr. Renjith earned his undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate degrees in Nursing from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. He served as an investigator for seven funded projects, published over sixty-five scholarly manuscripts, and delivered over seventy-five invited talks at various national and international events.
His commitment to research and teaching is recognised by numerous awards, including the Dr TMA Pai doctoral fellowship – 2013, the Sigma Theta Tau – Omicron Delta Research Award – 2015, and the RCSI Student Partnership Champion award 2024.
Dr. Renjith is a fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, UK, and a Fellow of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at RCSI. He is a member of the Cochrane Nursing Care Field and engages in generating evidence summaries for clinical practice.
In 2025, Dr Renjith received a prestigious fellowship from Evidence Synthesis Ireland and Cochrane Ireland. He contributes as a reviewer for top-ranking journals, including the Journal of Advanced Nursing, Journal of Nursing Scholarship, BMC Public Health, and Journal of Neuroscience Nursing. Dr. Renjith’s expertise spans randomised trials, qualitative studies, systematic reviews, and mixed methods research.
