Dr. Vishnu Renjith is a lecturer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland – Bahrain. In his current role, he is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students. Formerly he was the national coordinator for the Indian Stroke Clinical Trial Network (INSTRuCT) established under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) New Delhi, and hosted by the department of neurology of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram.
Dr. Renjith earned his doctoral, postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in Nursing from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Manipal University), India. He served the Public Health Evidence South Asia (PHESA), cochrane satellite center for public health as a research officer. He was awarded the national record for being the youngest Ph.D. holder in Nursing (India). Dr. Renjith holds membership in Sigma Theta Tau, NANDA International, World Stroke Organization and the Mixed Methods Research Association. He is a recipient of the Clinical expertise award- 2010, Best research award- 2013, Dr. TMA Pai fellowship – 2013 and the Omicron Delta Research Grant – 2015.
He has worked on six funded projects, published more than 27 scholarly manuscripts, and has delivered more than 60 invited talks. He is a reviewer for the top-ranking nursing journals like the Journal of Advanced Nursing, Journal of Nursing Scholarship, BMC Nursing and the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing and serves in the editorial board of Manipal journal of nursing and health sciences. His areas of research expertise include randomized trials, systematic reviews, qualitative and mixed methods research.
